Micha began his musical studies at age 4, studying piano. Aged 8, began learning saxophone in the Beer-Sheva Conservatory, completed his studies, winning several competitions and scholarships. During those years, he played in the youth orchestra, conducted by Nissim Alsheikh.
In his military service, he played clarinet & saxophone in the IDF orchestra, and completed his studies, under the late Commander & conductor Yizhak Graziani, in teaching and conducting Woodwind & Brass orchestras.
Among the outstanding events, Micha took active part in the ceremony for the Peace Signing with Jordan, The Historical visit of U.S President Clinton in Israel, The International Military orchestral Festival in France, & Many Receptions for visiting World leaders, Ceremonies and more.
In his Military Reserve duty, David volunteers in the IDF orchestra as commander & conductor.
Following his Military service, David began studying Law.
In 1998, he was appointed to Manage the Music Centre in Ramat Aviv and was the youngest Manager in Israel, there he taught and conducted the youth orchestra. During these years he taught saxophone in a number of Tel Aviv conservatories, and was active in projects for musical instrumental teaching in the poorer, neighborhoods in South Tel Aviv. In 2000 David was among the founders of the Ensemble of for IDF Orchestra graduates.
Following his return to Beer Sheva, David joined the orchestra, and was one of the founders of the “Friends of Beer Sheva Municipal Concert Band named after Nissim Alsheikh” and in 2008 was appointed the deputy conductor of the orchestra.
In a celebratory concert on 1st July 2010, Micha David was appointed as Conductor of the orchestra, following Nissim Alsheikh’s retirement.
Since then he has continued to conduct the orchestra alongside his work as a lawyer.
